China bound, baby!

After years of waiting, it's hard to believe that on Thursday morning we will be on a plane bound for China. We just received our itinerary today from our adoption agency. We're excited, nervous, hopeful, joyful and grateful. Grateful to all of our family members and friends who have supported us on this journey. Your prayers, kind words and encouragement have sustained us during this very long paper pregnancy. Please pray for Sophia, as her world is about to be turned upside down. Although we have been anxiously waiting for her, she most definitely has not been waiting for us. Not. One. Single. Minute. Please pray that God prepares her heart for our arrival and that she will feel safe and comforted in our arms. Also, please pray for our boys and our wonderful mothers who will be caring for them.

04/19/10 Fly to Nanchang, Jiangxi province

04/20/10 Go to Civil Affairs Office for adoption processing

04/23/10 Fly to Guangzhou
04/24/10 Sophia's medical exam

04/26/10 Visa interview with the American Consulate
04/27/10 Adoption oath at Consulate
04/28/10 Take train to Hong Kong
04/29/10 Fly home from Hong Kong
